E-mail your MP NOW to oppose Co-payments in the NHS proposed by Private Members Bill

Update on Saturday 12th May

The Private Members Bill did NOT pass on Friday 11th May - it ran out of time, but it has been rescheduled for another attempt on Friday 15th June - Skwawkbox.org

Please contact your MP   NOW about this:

Sandra Ash, from the Keep Our St Helier Hospital campaign, has alerted me this morning to the second reading tomorrow, Friday 11th May, of a Private Members Bill from Mr Christopher Chope (Con, Christchurch, Dorset) to allow co-payments in the NHS.

The link to the bill is here: https://services.parliament.uk/bills/2017-19/nationalhealthservicecofundingandcopayment.html

It's to amend the 2006 Health Service Bill to allow Co-Payments for treatment in the NHS

This means allowing the NHS to charge patients for necessary treatments.

NO, just NO! The NHS has been and must always be free at the point of delivery.

I have just written to my MP, Andy Slaughter, Labour MP for Hammersmith and Fulham, to urge him to attend the House of Commons and vote against the bill.
